the structure of the series is definitely somewhat inspired by Jojo, especially the earlier arcs with the new casts and some returning characters, though the format changed with the trilogy being more direct sequel based

The JOKERS Deluge analysis reminded me that she's not always a nice girl. I totally forgot that. Which means what we saw in ACES/QUEENS was partially her true nature too, not just a nice-turned-bad girl.

She said that she's dark and underhanded. And we saw that she's moody and rough too. She also treated Bluebell like a jerk even though she appreciates her.

Not saying that Deluge is unlikable, because she definitely was a good friend to the PEs. I just think her natural flaws making a resurface was really interesting.

She is definitely different from how she was originally though, she didn't abandon her friend out of malice, but because she was super unconfrontational and wanted to live in a way that no one would hate her. She never really acted like herself and would basically walk a line where she was never close with anyone, but she was also never enemies with anyone. Whereas the death of the PE and her only real friends made her much more willing to take action no matter who is her enemy, so she's definitely developed from that, and even further through bad shit continually happening to her in all the novels

So i finally got around to reading episodes 2 and something bothered me about lazuline II in her sidestory with panasu, is her carefree attitude just an act or is she really that "stupid"? She was avoiding every question with the dumbest shit like "you were shouting RAMEN in your dreams" and "you trained and got a lot stronger since the last time we fought and now want a rematch? well i came here unarmed and unprepared so i wont fight you because i'd lose but oh it looks like i actually came here ready and even brought an overpowered weapon fitting for my powers! so ready i was for fighting that i trashed dozens of the very same things that killed and maimed several MGs with 5/5 and 4/5 across the board in all their stats".

Pretty accurate. The thing Palette was hated for, "Beast Smell" was converted to "Smelly", which I personally don't mind too much.

However, as a personal fix I'd like to suggest he change the second smell to "scent", cause sentence wise, "Have a beast's sense of smell" plus "Having the smell of a beast" sounds a bit repetitive.

Changing "Smell of a beast" to "scent" could be a good fix.

Laz II was definitely not stupid. She's really smooth in deflecting Panasu's prying questions and disarming her through niceness. She never answered Panasu's question about what's the secret deal with the black-suited MGs either, but diverting her attention to "oh my master wanted me to wreck the warehouse." Panasu was the idiot one who didn't realize she was played.

If you read Restart RAW, you'll constantly be surprised at Laz II's level of social-awareness, hidden underneath the airheaded attitude. For example this convo:

My kind of errors that I mind are ones where the sentences are rewritten or changed very hugely. So, as far as errors go, I'll only focus on those. I don't mind little changes at all.

Some people do mind those things though, and don't consider them small changes.

So if I just say "The V2 ones for the most part are accurate", which so far as I can see, they mostly are, then all you have is my word.

Few threads back, people were asking for proof of the accuracy when some people said that V2 stuff was a lot more accurate, so I did that thing where I randomly checked and compared, because I'm not going to post the entire RAW + TL as proof.

Also, I wanna accomodate non-moonspeakers by pasting the RAW JP into text so even they can participate in that discussion. They may not be as fluent in JP, or know what certain characters mean, but with the text being copy/pasteable, they could maybe use a translator to get a rough TL or just look up individual words so they can judge for themselves.

The thing is that it's not efficient. Doing a translation comparison for random pages is only useful when the current tl is more wrong than right. Such as missing 1/3 of the book and get the other 1/3 wrong.

When the accuracy had been risen into the 70-90% area, you must switch to poiting out errors instead of random checks. Because now it's more likely to encounter an accurate part than the wrong part. At 80%, 1 sentence wrong every 4-5 sentences is still really bad. At 95%, 1 sentence wrong per 20 is a more widely accepted accuracy.

Laz I might have manipulated them to some extent, but I don't believe she let them think she's a 100% good guy who does no wrong. It's most likely that they agree helping her with shady deeds for the sake of a greater good.

It's a useless number though. When you hear "it's 80-90%" accurate, you will be made to think "oh so it's accurate." But if you really think about it, 80% accuracy means that there's a mistranslated sentence every 5 sentences. It means every page of the RAW contained 3-4 wrong sentences. Depending on the context.

There are words which are purposely repeated in the original, do not change these. For example, keep consistently call the demon lord a "demon lord" and not "devil king" or "big bad" whenever you feel like it. If a girl is repeatedly called a goriila, don't randomly translate it into ape or orangtula every other instance.

And then there is contextual adjective. Kawaii for example is used very extensively in jap, but actually translated to cute/pretty/adorable in different circumstance. I don't care if the translator choose "cute" consustently or mix up the tl in this case.

Marika is going to have to pull double duty in this fight because she's the most experienced fighter and her opponents are very tricky. Having to deal with Melville and Mei at the same time is really hard. Clantail, on the other hand, seems to be a beatstick, so probaby not too useful against Mei (who is literally made of air).

Melville can basically snipe people while Mei flushes them out of hiding, it's a pretty strong combo. I imagine Marika would point out and ask Clantail to grab Melville and slowly crush her while Marika herself uses some sort of heat-based attack to boil Mei away or something.

This is an interesting one, I'm curious whether SW could read AA's thoughts, since we're not sure what she is or how her mind works. As for Sister Nana she rarely makes use of her physicals and is a terrible fighter, plus one Daisy Beam and its over for either fighter. I'd say Team Armor Beam takes is 8/10

Funny Trick and Pythie might be able to pull of some shenanigans, but Pythie would need hair for that. Pukin could easily eliminate the both of them, especially with Nokko-chan making her opponents depressed beyond belief and hyping up Pukin. Team Emotional General takes it 9.5/10

This is a hard one, not sure how Marika or Clantail would be able to damage Mei, maybe the Rafflesia could do something, or some other flower, but Marika has insane physical advantage, and because of her training with Melville and Cranberry, she would probably be able to detect her. Still Mei is a real obstacle and wildcard and brings the matchup I think to a 50/50 either Team Invisible Wind or Team Flora and Fauna could take it

Deluge has a high combat intelligence and Captain Grace is a physical monster, Tama would only function well through a surprise attack while one of them is distracted by Lapis. Lapis is strong but I think Grace could handle her alone for a while while Deluge quickly dispatches Tama and then they could 2v1 to finish her, I'd Say Team High Seas takes it 8/10

Quake and Mi-chan are both solid fighters, with Mi-chan also being a smart fighter and good tactician that would be able to make good use of Quake. That said Lethe is one of the stronger people in Mao's school, and her ability to change distance perception would be useful in addition to her weapons, Sorami will be useless in an open field, so I'd say it'd basically be a Lethe 1v2. I'd say Lethe is strong enough to give a good challenge, especially with Sorami distraction, but Team Scholarly Pedos takes it 7/10

No one there is a factor to Cherna, Team Mastermind and the Mouse takes it 10/10

I think the clincher is Akane's super long range sword slashes, which Marika and Cherna could counter with smokescreens. If you can defeat that, then Marika and Cherna would probably stomp them in melee. Otherwise Akane can pick them off easily.

Grace can summon the pirate ship to squash people, but Cherna could potentially bulk up to push it away. Marika is... well, she's hella strong so she might be able to punch the ship away too. And in close combat she'll probably beat Grace.

So overall, I think Marika and Cherna would take it, especially if Cherna used her size-changing ability to pull Ant-Man shenanigans.

MW couldn't move as fast as Pfle's wheelchair. SG can also see her movements during the Cherna fight easily. So we have another solid proof that MW cannot use supersonic speed, and thus isn't any better than other regular strong fighters.

When MW is distracted by CQ's constant screaming in her head, there's no way she could focus on moving efficiently, so that's another weakness that SW can exploit.

In Lazuline's case with Panasu she was basically declining her request due to her being busy with an errand from her master and knowing that Panasu trained for a whole year for her rematch, she declined due to her probably not being ready since in both Lazuline sidestories she was more or less an errand girl and probably didn't train her body out daily for an entire year compared to Panasu so she didn't bother with it.

You still haven't provided any proof that a fast fighter managing to land a blow on SW.

Concentrate on the point of the argument. All canon materials so far showed that
1) speed is meaningless in front of SW
2) MW is not particularly fast
3) MW lost to people who SW defeated

The burden of proof is on you. You have to provide something reasonable if you want to claim MW can defeat SW.

And she had no need to lie to Panasu. She can tell her that she's busy and they can duel another day. She didn't lie to MW, therefore there's no readon to lie to Panasu. Lapis loves a friendly duel.

First off SW has never fought any of the people MW has fought, and the equivalence you are making is pure speculation. Speed is meaningful against SW, or else she would literally dodge everything and be unbeatable, which is not the case. Thirdly MW has been state to cross 100 meters in less than a second and can punch ridiculously hard, and that was when she was just trying to give a warning to Cherna, if she is going for lethal force, with her power she could do some serious damage with a single blow. Lapis was not a speculation. She was canoically weaker than Panasu and stronger than MW.

MW doesn't have supersonic speed. She is fast but still couldn't dodge her own rocks, lost against Lapis, let alone losing to Pfle's wheelchair.

SW is not invincible, because her advantage is not getting hit, not hitting. She doesn't have the strength to damage opponents with high toughness. MW is not particilarly tough, because she got injured by rocks bouncing back from the red skeletons.

MW had showed that besides some advanced speed and strength (thanks to weight manipulation), she is no monster on the tier of Jokers or Marika. Ace of Spade herself couldn't injure SW, you think MW can? Good joke.

I like Filuru's fights too. She basically dominates the battlefield every time she gets going, like in the Tot Keek story and vs the Shufflins. She only died because a Shufflin ambushed her right after she thought they'd made it.
