It cut out too much of Miyata's backstory and removing Nozomi's motivation to provide for her poor family really hurt her characterization.

The "sentient ponytail" thing that the anime came up with to replace Nozomi spending time learning all of Aoba's tells in order to understand her even when she wouldn't speak was fucking retarded, and whitewashing Aoba's random molestation of the student body made no sense at all.

Cutting the first 30 chapters may have been necessary to get to anything exciting for the season finale, but missing out on Repeater-chan, Housewife-chan, and Sadako almost entirely was disappointing.

I'm also somewhat confused about the changes to Maya's dialogue with her mother after the last tournament fight. The whole point of Maya's manner of speaking during it was that she referred to herself as if she were an object instead of a person, which made her mother realize that she hadn't been supportive enough to treat Maya as an actual daughter. The anime changing that damaged the emotional impact of the scene dramatically.

Also, I still hate those ugly as shit dresses from the party in the final episode. Neon pink and vomit green in a cut that somehow managed to not suit the figure of a single girl in the entire building? What moron made that decision, and why hasn't he been Excaliblasted into a molten-slag filed crater for that decision?

Completely agree on Aoba, wish she had molested girls in the anime as well

It's fun, first thing I watched that was good enough to finish since Hanayamata.
