It was great up until the Christmas episode (inclusive). After that I have never seen an anime go downhill so quickly.

I thought it was better than Toradora too, although I wouldn't compare the two because they have nothing in common other than being high school romcoms. Sakurasou gets a bad rep because anons absolutely hated Sorata as MC.

Not even once. Blueballing bullshit. Why are Japanese so fucking bad at ending romance shows? Do they not understand what is and isnt a satisfying ending? At least Sakurasou did a better job at wrapping up the characters than Toradora and a lot of other shows did, but the ending was still pretty fucking disappointing.

But it wasnt. It was one of the best scenes of the entire show. What was cringeworthy was the fact that the relationships just stalled like crazy after episode 14ish. I really wish these sort of anime would be wrapped up after 12 episodes since, apparently, studios are too incompetent to properly end romance shows after 24, so why even bother?!

Jesus, it's a long time since I've seen an opinion that shit on /a/. Only some sort of emotionally immature teen could have found the graduation scene anything other than cringeworthy and/or infuriating.

Isn't this one of the anime that are vastly superior to the source material, that improves upon it drastically?

Anyway, I felt that it was balancing on a line between good and bad. I think I consider it "good enough", just good enough to be considered good.

21 is fine, christmas is complete trash and the last 3 episodes feel rushed as fuck, dont properly conclude anything and are just horribly paced and written. You really arent in the position to call anyones taste "shit" if you think that Toradora doesnt drop immensely in quality after episode 9 (or 10, which whichever it was). The Christmas arc itself also is drawn out way too long, like almost all of the later shit arcs are.

Sakurasou had top tier music, great girls, and decent side characters. Unfortunately that was completely ruined by shitty MC and awful plotline (from the LN obviously).
Toradora is much better because it has great characters including a great MC and a plotline that doesn't want you to tear your hair out (maybe with the exception of the last few minutes of the last episode).
