I was reading Maid Dragon and thought it was cute! Anime is cute/nice and good but Demi-chan is better. They are are the two I'm waiting for eagerly. Maybe it's the emotion about being different in school that connects me to it.

Little Witch never really clicked for me... I see it's qualities but I'm not "oh boy! a new ep!"

After hearing about Gabriel Drop-out and reading the manga I'm waiting for the buffer to hit hit four. That's enough to establish a new identity in my head so I'm not constantly comparing.

After this year in US politics I'm staying away from anything possibly political.

KonoSuba I'm going to binge watch at six eps and I'll be happy but I'm always watching for new ones the rest were "meh" for me. Not to say they were bad but I have limited time and I've watched anime since the 70s so I'm a fuddy duddy anime fan. ( I remember watching Kaitei Shōnen Marin as a new show) practice your Google-fu

I haven't read either manga, I'm judging solely by the anime. With almost all the anime in my list, I keep running into scenes where I wonder, "why did they have to animate this particular bit? what does it add to the story?" or I suddenly notice that I've been listening to people talking over a still picture for half a minute, or just that some particular scene would have needed more money to be competently animated. Kobayashi-san is the sole exception to this, at least when I watch an episode for the first time.

I only agree insofar as the episodes of 1-cour series have less overall material to compare to multi-cour series when considering AOTS. Multi-cour shows are rarely AOTS material though, and if they are, it really should have been evident at some point in the first cour.

I might pick up ACCA if I get around to it, by the time I start watching anime it's usually late and I'm tired from work so I try to skip out on plot heavy shows. If its as good as I think it is I might end up marathoning it one weekend. Kuzu no Honkai is also on my to-watch list.

I'm really glad I discovered Onihei.
I'm still watching all the cute shows (Demi, Dragon Maid) and it is nice to have a more masculine show for a change.
The art is decidedly average, I'll admit that. Fortunately the use of bad CG is relatively infrequent. It is done by a smaller studio, and feels like something made 10-15 years ago.
What I like about it are the crime story plotlines where characters seldom have happy endings and even the MC bears a certain melancholy,
Its an anime about duty, honor, and regret over what could have been. All told as a samurai police drama.

I'm really liking ACCA, but make sure to give it 3 episodes. It starts slow as fuck. The first 2 episodes could even be considered boring. But the third one picked up like mad.

Kuzu no Honkai is... you'll hate it relatively to how much you hate sex-positive third-wave feminism. Other than that, it's melodramatic softcore porn clearly aimed at women, but that still has Chaika's VA panting a couple of times per episode.
