Something just occurred to me.

So we all know how people claim that Vegito is stronger than Gogeta because for Gogeta Goku has to lower his power level right?

Well, are people forgetting something? When a character lowers their power level, that does not mean that they are permanently expelling power. The power is still within them, they are just not using it.

In other words, when Goku fuses with Vegeta to create Gogeta, all of his power goes to Gogeta. The only purpose of lowering the power level so it is the same is to create a perfect mirror image of the two people doing the dance.

So how can retards still claim that Vegito is stronger? I'm a Vegito fanboy don't get me wrong, but they literally have the same power: plot power. They are both as strong as the plot requires them to be. Also explains why SSJ4 Gogeta is so above Omega Shenron when SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta are just above Nuova and Eis Shenron in terms of power which would imply that a combined Eis Shenron and Nuova Shenron would be able to fight Omega Shenron which is impossible as Omega Shenron already has Nuova and Eis's powers within him + all the other Shadow Dragons. The bullshit powerscaling is basically explained through plot power.

Before you call me gay this is just a theory and you're free to debunk it, but perhaps it's because back then anime wasn't such a big deal so you needed quality to stand out. Nowadays there's a huge "otaku" market and a lot of anime has been reduced to formulaic pandering.

That, and the otaku eventually themselves becoming mangaka and animators. As such, the creative 'spark' that made the original is (often) gone, because many anime/manga are copies of copies of copies of copies of what came before. As a medium, anime is incredibly inbred at this point.
