I mean, they're clearly not "Ultimate Lifeform from Sonic Adventure 2" levels of crazy, but for OVAs, it was up there, especially the dragon as a "this could end the school" kind of threat.

I'm saying that now that they have 25 FUCKING EPISODES, there's no way they're just gonna do 25 episodes of "lesson of the week".
At some point, even if just the last 2-3 episodes, there's gonna be a much larger, crazier threat leading into the classic SASUGA TRIGGER ending.

We probably won't get any blood in this series, but they've already shown they're not afraid to hurt these cute little witches.

Kind of. Winter is rarely a great season since it has so few shows.

It's a pretty good season for /u/ with Doga Kobo and KyoAni on deck. Those shows both do a good job at what they do, but they won't impress anyone who isn't broken enough to enjoy CGDCT.

It's still early, but Little Witch Academia doesn't feel like it's going to be as ambitious as TRIGGER's other great works. It's still a great show, and still the lead contender for AOTS.

KonoSuba has upset some people but I think most fans are still enjoying it.

There's not a lot left to sort through. ACCA, Rakugo, and Youjo Senki are all OK.

There's more going on this season than last.

Last season had hibike season 2 and izetta I guess. Then a bunch of other niche shit that was mostly fujo-shit.

This season we have at least two quality cute girls shows, a good comedy, a couple drama shows, and a rom com. The quality of show is way higher than last season. Nothing that'll stand out after spring or summer but way better than the shit they've been serving us.
