For anyone that wants to get better at drawing, I'll just say it helps to keep your expectations low at first. If you try making something super beautiful that's outside your skill level, and fail at it, you'll feel utterly crushed. More than you should.

Cute, vaguely shaped blobs can inspire some form of confidence. Learn by copying from a favorite artist. Observe what details sets them aside from other artists, and imitate one step at a time.

Nothing short of the hardest thing I've ever done, I may actually kill myself. How do people do it? I know I can't straight lines, or proper curves, and my hand won't stop shaking. I both love and hate how wavy her hair is. First I tried to do it black and white, but there were too many dark colors so I had to go over it a bunch. And what's worse, I saved it as a jpeg and it got horrible artifacts and I had to redo a lot of it. I'm not even sure anymore. I'm delirious. I skipped dinner for this.

I undo and redo every individual line (straight or curvy) until it comes out exactly how I want it to.

I've learned some artists just flip the image horizontally, finish the line, then flip it back to normal.

I usually draw a vague egg-shape with V for a chin. After drawing the hair, I re-do the chin to make it longer, softer, sharper, whatever I need.

SAI also has a rotate function, the buttons I use rotate it at 15 degrees to whichever side I want. I also flip things horizontally. I can draw a curve like ( easily, but drawing the opposite side like ) is nearly impossible for me.
