I have a theory that Enri has a Talent that makes her gain experience twice as fast.
Ainz openly states he doesn't really know how talents work as they're unique to NW. That said, when they're described it's mentioned how a lot of random commoners might have great and mighty talents that they simply never find out about because they're never in the position to learn about them or use them. I think Enri would have been one of those commoners, but by total happenstance was thrust into a situation where she was forced to improve skills. Even though she hasn't trained too much, she's been required to work more physically to make up for the losses in her village, and the story makes a point in describing how she's gotten considerably more muscular and is one of the strongest people on the village for some reason in vol 8. In vol 9 after some more time, she apparently easily beats the hobgoblin at arm wrestling, completely overpowers Nfrei, is mentioned to be so hyper fit while running in the forest that it turns her off, and she even entertained the idea that she might have beaten an ogre at arm wrestling too. Likewise, her levels in commander and general and others from the time Ainz meets her to the time her character sheet is revealed seems waaaay faster than what other individuals have gained in a similar amount of time.
I think if there's another arc totally focused on her we'll find her to be even more physically imposing and easily overseeing major construction projects. Down the line, she might even be a player on the world stage reaching levels that rival the Pleiades, and waaaay down the line may even be either a very powerful tool or serious consideration of threat to AOG.

It will be a one on one confession that he has to drive home over the course of a whole volume in various ways to Albedo and she'll actually show non-lust related emotion for him and sympathy in some sort of way (since she's unique from the other guardians in that thanks to weirdness from Momonga interfering with her settings on some small part his personality was incorporated into her consciousness) which will finally get Ainz to lay with her

The best you could predict is by putting yourself in the mind of an experienced D&D player, as that's the entire reason Maruyama wrote it and the worldbuilding and actions of Ainz are written to a T like how one would play a character in a D&D setting (really meticulous, missing plothooks/breadcrumbs left and right while going in unexpected directions, really sticking to an alignment with no qualms if it means slaughtering intruders or torturing them just because he's the main character)

Think of how a D&D adventure would wrap up, throw in some Japanese social culture/cliche and keep the idea of an MMO guild on the backburner, and if you can somehow work that out you'd get a pretty good idea of where it'll end up

Side stories/Intermissions are always my favorite chapters in LNs. Overlord really should have more of them, not only for the human characters, but also many NPCs are underused in the main story.

At first I was annoyed because even in the side moments the Guardians seemed really one-dimensional and non-developing. It was confusing as well, because a lot of the human side stories were really well written with characters that change motivations and developed as characters overall. Then I realized that's probably the point: The NPCs, being at 'maximum experience', are probably extremely resistant to change and are meant to be written as sort of set in their ways.
But it's really cool in the instances where they do show some signs of growing. Sebas/Coctyous/Shalltear, Aura (to a lesser extent). It looks like they want to do it with Albedo as well with her whole vendetta against the 40

Well, the NPC are literally only 1 year old right now. Despite their settings and backstories, they are really a children. Extremely powerful, hyper-intelligent(some of them) and amoral(again) children. That's why is so awesome to see them grow into a real peoples.

In a weird way, Albedo's sentiment is honestly what Ainz needs the most, albeit to a lesser extent. Honestly he has enough clues by now that he should be able to get over it an accept that there is no one else from his guild there. He needs to 'kill' them in his mind to a degree as well, or rather accept that they're dead and aren't coming back. While I don't think Overlord is a story designed to teach traditional lessons, I think there is a very plain an obvious one sitting right in front of Ainz, that being to be able to let go of the past and instead focus on making new friends and people he can feel that warmth from.
He's so obsessed with the idea of Ainz Ooal Gown that he can't realize he has a whole world of people that he could develop relationships with and form new unique friendships over. 9 In particular who if he just dropped the... well, the 'Overlord' persona (or at least chilled it the fuck out) he could have already been developing much more meaningful relationships with them
Grant it, in some cases, he has made steps towards this, but its presented in a way that I think he doesn't take away the important message of it.

Sazuki Satoru needs to realize that in searching so desperately for his old friends, he's missing out on the friends he could have right in front of them. In fact, dare I say, they're gonna be more loyal friends than he ever had from the old 40.

I really think that's a direction things could take if there's a 'happy end' to all this. Ainz finally realizing, 'wait a minute, you guardians aren't just npcs, yeah my friends may have made you but you're real people, I'll just be friends with you instead'. It doesn't mean he has to stop scheming or ultimately being the ruler or forgetting his old friends, but it will let him take it down several notches

Here's the thing that Ainz has noticeably not put the fucking pieces together on yet though: He has all of his old guildmates weapons, armor, magic items, consumables, literally everything in the basement of Naz. He'd have fucking nothing on him, he'd suddenly be a fucking slime in a world where beastment and monsters are kept way out in the wayside and humans want nothing to deal with them... I think this is an oversight on Ainz's part more than I think it is on the authors, but IF any of the AOG members made it through they're probably naked and in really shitty spots, not chilling in the middle of a god-realm fortress with 12/10s crawling over their nonexistant dicks

Well it was 2 at the end of volume 8, which chronologically took place between volumes 4 and 5. So it had actually been another half a year or so between when that character sheet was released and when she used the second horn. In the LN its described how Shalltear, who was made by Pero (Ainz's best friend in game who also happened to be a huge eroge fan/pervert) was created with a ton of fetishes in mind and had a ton of fetishes including necrophilia put into her backstory. That combined with just the fact that most of the guardians have a godlike reverence for any of the supreme beings gets her pretty slick in Ainz' presence.

There are other moderate contenders for the harem as well, though I agree those are really the only main ones. A magic caster Ainz meets while acting as Momon completely mushes herself over him, the maids all blush and get super flustered whenever he accidentally lets slip a casual 'oh you distracted me' or so, and even Aura starts to misinterpret some things he says and gets attracted to him. The emotion suppression is meant to model the undead immunity to mind-affecting effects, and it basically serves as an emotional circuit-breaker; when strong emotions threaten to overwhelm him, it cuts out the emotional peak.

However, it doesn't alter his personality; he can still get mad at the same thing again even if a strong emotion is suppressed. It's like how you can think of something in the past and get incredibly mad despite it having been a long time ago and your anger dissipating since.

Ainz is written consistently. I know what you're concerned about, though - why he seems really evil in places like Volume 7, Volume 9, but comes across as nice and well meaning in Volumes 10 and 11.

The disparity is, the closer the NW comes to being like YGGDRASIL, the more Ainz treats it like YGGDRASIL. In Volume 9, all he could think about was casting La Shub Niggurash and summoning as many Dark Young as possible, because when he was in YGGDRASIL that was what he liked doing. In Volume 7 it was because he's gone full autistic when it comes to insulting his friends legacy.

Those very same attitudes lead to his niceness. In Volume 10 he appeared nice to Ainzach because he wanted to make adventurers similar to YGGDRASIL. In Volume 11, he accepted Gondo because Gondo's desire to preserve his forefather's legacy is similar to Ainz's desire to preserve his friend's legacy.

Those attitudes are consistent.

The NPCs are too stuck in their settings, so there isn't much room for improvement and in the end all of them are one-dimensional characters whose entire character can be described in one or two words. Overlord has good world building but the character development is quite meh, and in 11 volumes only Ainz, Brain, Climb and Enri had decent development. Hopefully this changes in later volumes and the NPCs are more free from their settings. I think Sebas is a good first candidate for character development with the whole Tsuare's thing and because he is a legitimately good guy.

I think the reason they aren't given povs to show that they're developing is because they ARENT developing. There's is no further meaning to glean from Demiurge. Nor is there from Aura and Mare, and even really Shalltear.

Not killing Gazef or incapacitating him in some way would have been the darker or more evil thing to do. Ainz made the right choice honoring his wishes and it had a huge impact on him. Ainz is doing way better than i would. I would never have left Nazarick in the first place. Most delicious food, luxurious palace 12/10 girls, huge library, concert halls, bars and various other means of entertainment. Forget leading. Also multiple "worlds" where you can take mini vacations. The giant underwater lake floor for some boat riding, fishing and diving. The snow floor for snowboarding and cuddling up with blankets in a cabin. etc etc. The best part about this? Nazarick is self sufficient if you switch off the AOE effects and don't use up one use magical items. This was mentioned by Albedo in vol 8. The reason Enri is so strong is because all the exp from her summons go to her so she's actively leveling up and leveling up automatically raise your stats.

Even if she is upping in classes like commander and general, it still boost all her stats (albeit in different ranges). So even if a character went with really shitty classes like red mage or bard, he'd still be powerful just from stat boosts alone.
