About 9 years ago I watched all of LoGH in one sitting. It took about 50 hours.

I did the bottle thing because at that time I was frightened of meeting other people, so I'd only go out of my room in the early hours of the morning.

I don't think I could do that any more. I don't have the stamina and I hate to miss a nights sleep. It's strange to think that worthless hikkikomori-me has in some sense more drive and motivation than the me now.

Did you watch the movies, specials, and OVAs too? And why not just read the manga? The anime has a good voice cast, OST, and some hype moments but the manga is still better overall, and would have taken a lot shorter which would have left you time to watch multiple other series.

The one problem with this anime/manga is that a lot of women tend to be Nami or Robin clones. But there are some unique and interesting designs as well.

From what I understand the show used to be paced well for ~20 minute episodes following the manga's plot but in later years they decided to have each entire episode only cover a single chapter, which I assume was an effort to keep the gravy train rolling without filler. The episodes are incredibly drawn out and slow, but the Manga's story is still pretty good.

Why did you keep going after the time skip? I was obsessed too but the drop in quality at that point was too much for me.

It's not unfeasible. I watched all of Gintama in a month and basically marathoned at least a cour per day. Going two to three times what I watched is definitely possible. There's also extra time if OP skipped all OPs and EDs, they quickly add up.

Personally, I usually let the episode accumulate in groups of 70-100, or until the end of an arc, and then I binge them when I get some time off (between college semesters, in usual). I find I build up emotional investment and hype far more efficiently when I watch the 3-4 episodes a day for a few weeks.

Nothing makes me angry, or cry, or get hype like One Piece, I probably care more about those characters than most members of my family.
