They kinda are, they're adapting the side story novels in the anime right now. They already beat Kaguya and Sasuke left on his journey, then they had a few episodes covering the childhoods of some characters.

Last episode started covering the Sasuke Shinden novel Book Of Sunrise, which takes place post The Last. If I wanted to start to read the series, since I never did back when it was popular in the states and I want to see how shit it actually is, what is the best scan group for it?

Looking on nyaa the only torrents that have seeders are official viz rips/scans. Are there no better translations then that? Are viz's stuff unedited or is some of the blood and shit edited out? Is there a particular scanning group who made the best scans of Viz's volumes?
