The ceremony begins at the denotation of an incense grenade as long as the summoner has visual of their target.
Both summoners start with three white thorns, getting another one every 10 seconds.
The rose appears at the center, containing 216 petals. A thorn strikes the rose and scatters the petals.
The petals have letters on them:
The low sounds were b, c, d, f, g, h, and j.
The middle sounds were k, l, m, n, p, q, and r.
The high sounds were s, t, v, w, x, y, z.

I thought he did it well with Zashiki Warashi, which is still my favorite work of his. Although it's probably easier to set the pacing for it than for Raildex since it's a much shorter series.
What makes HO so fun is that Kamachi can go even crazier than usual with it since he's not going to carry anything over to the next volume anyway, but I prefer something with an actual plot on it.
