yeah I finished season one (after wiping the foam from my mouth after the complete badassery overdose) and was so disappointed upon seeing the time skip, so much so that I didn't finish it for nearly a year. it was only after I saw some positive review's that i decided to go back and watch it. I consider post time skip to be a second season. Mostly because it splits the story in two and acts as a divider between "season 1" and "season 2". also keep in mind that I watched it on netflix so I didn't know if it's season count was reliable or not.
