Watch it. I have never seen such crazy, 'what the fuck bullshit' hit the fan as hard as this in my entire anime experience.

This was the most generic anime, your run-of-the-mill 6/10 harem that went full retard beyond anything Jun Maeda could think up in his wildest dreams to end on a 2/10.

Trainwreck or no. Samurai Flamenco will always have a special place in my heart for being the most unique anime of all time.

It's the only show where you could come back every week/every episode and have no clue what genre it will be or even be about. One week it's vigilante drama, the next it's science-fiction horror and the week after it turns into yuri love romance. Really kept you on your toes.

After the glorious season 1 and the 4 OVAs, it just completely derailed into some power up shounen anime and went philosophical and all this other weird shot.

Completely ruined the show.

Chipping in as well for this wonderful example of how bad an anime original ending could get. To this day I dont entirely understand what was going on in those last few episodes. Except drugs, I'm pretty sure there were lots of drugs involved.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't anime original, but it instead skipped a volume and a half. Think the skip was the concert, the whole Matrix thing happened at the end of the volume after the idol was introduced. It's why Sensei ended up in his harem at the end with absolutely no explanation for it whatsoever.

I still had a lot of fun with it regardless.
