I hope this happens to me. I was really enjoying the finale arcs (starting at Green Day). They were really suspenseful, but the ending just fell flat for me, it felt over really fast for all the build up.

I'm hoping the anime adds some more weight to GER's abilities.

Everything else felt perfectly fine. Had a SC vibe by being in pursuit, but all the monster of the week stand users felt like they were necessary and not just nameless henchmen like in SC.

I used a gift card and a code to buy All-Star Battle for two dollars. Did I do the right thing?

They aren't skipping, Part 6 will probably just not be given as much effort as Part 3 or 5. Will be. Evidence that they do this is already blatant with Part 4 which had a major budget decrease.

Part 6 will be done as cheaply as possible because it's the last season and is guaranteed not to sell as well. They'll do it as cheap as possible and just get it out.

Part 7 won't be adapted for other reasons and 8 is still ongoing so why would they.

If you know Vento Aureo wasn't the original name and still continue to call it that you'll only have yourself to blame when the anime comes out in a year and uses the correct ENGLISH translation.

I still consider her the protagonist though because she's definitely the vessel through which the story is experienced. Stone Ocean kind of cycles through it's crew in partners. Rarely do you get the whole crew rolling up on people at the same time, if ever. And it's very light on crew interactions compared to 4 and 5.

It feels like Parts 1 and 2 in that out of all the "good guys" she's the only one that matters. Exception given to Emporio who doesn't really join the party until the very end, and Weather Report because of his connection to Pucci.

Not useless, it's just less of an ensemble cast than 4 and 5 were. It's Jolyne's story, the others are clearly side characters. Whereas with 5 it was really Bruno's story and with 4 it's kind of Morioh and Kira's story. Josuke isn't really in it enough for me to say he's the driving protagonist.

The Stone Ocean crew wasn't worthless like the crews from the Hamon parts, but they were reduced in role from the last two parts. And most notably for me the majority of the fights were more like Jolyne & Hermes or Jolyne & Foo or Jolyne & Weather. They didn't have a lot of scenes where everyone was hanging out like Part 3 or Part 5 did. And Part 4 to a lesser extent.

It's just different. I still love all the characters.

Repeated fights with the main villain can make them seem weak or less of a threat, as DIO seemed for much of part 1 because of how often he got his ass beat. He got beaten by Jonathan three times, once as a kid, once at the mansion, and once at the castle. Him finally winning in the end was necessary otherwise he'd just have seemed pathetic.

Kira was handled really well, he had a few fights but was never established as a character who could confidently take all the crew down at once, and both him and them knew it so he didn't come off as weak. Hell, his objective wasn't even to kill them most of the time.

Pucci did it pretty well too, Whitesnake and him were a threat on multiple occasions but he was never really definitively 'beaten'.

For Phantom Blood he didn't. He's the primary enemy of the entire part and the one who fights agaisnt Jonathan the most. He only really sends Jack The Ripper, Tarkus and Bruford after the heroes. He's constantly attacking Jonathan in direct and indirect ways. We literally grow up with him.

And as for Stardust Crusaders, it was for the best. If DIO kept constantly appearing and attacking the heroes, he'd have to keep losing or retreating while shit talking them, which would not only give away the reveal of his power, but I'd make him seem weak. Not only that, I'd actively go agaisnt his characterization in Part 3.

I know it seems weird to keep him in the shadows in Part 3 when we saw him constantly in Part 1, especially considering we all already know what he does, but the character has changed in such a drastic way that it wouldn't be logical for him to have the same kind of presence he had in Part 3 that he had in Part 1. No one knew what his power was, and Araki kept teasing everyone who wanted to see DIO again.

In the end, he did the right thing.

If there's one thing Part 3 did masterfully, it's building up DIO through his followers around him. The way N'Doul would rather kill himself than reveal his stand power (and his comments on DIO before his death), the way D'Arby flipped his shit so violently when Jotaro pressed him for information on The World, and Enya(ba)'s assassination to keep his stand a secret. All of this and the other moments throughout SDC were much more powerful than DIO showing up to antagonize the cast like Team Rocket. You can really see how much frequent appearances will devalue how threatening a villain is with Hol Horse. He "killed off" one of the main characters and then for the rest of his screentime he was a chump. For a villain to keep up how intimidating they are, they'd have to keep on doing things that would majorly hurt or set back the heroes (Araki does this well with Pucci, who, whenever he's in a scene with the protags, majorly fucks shit up).

What's more, DIO doesn't disappear after Part 3 ends. The entire series is how his legacy emanates through the entire Joestar bloodline, even with the seemingly isolated Part 5 (the fact he fathered Giorno, and Diavolo's connection with the stand arrows). There isn't a single part that DIO hasn't had his hand in, in some way.

This is my Jojosona. I call him "Giorno". He's kind of like a Jojo but he's italian so he's named "Gio Gio" and he's actually Dio's son which is super cool. He has the power to give life to things and control them but if you touch the things he brings to life you get hurt and also if he touches you time slows down and you get hurt even more and also he can heal anybody who gets hurt (even himself) and also everybody likes him and he's really smart so he's always the first one to figure out mysteries and stuff. Also he is so unique that the stand arrow itself chose him to power up his stand and when his stand powers up it's like super invincible and you can't hurt it and it's the strongest stand in the whole show. He can negate any action you try to do and if he touches you you like die over and over forever he's so strong.

Jotaro and Josuke are in more fights than anyone else by far. They are hardly overshadowed. (Haven't finished Part 5, haven't started Part 6).

However, if every side character could get the Polnareff, Koichi up-to-SHA, or Bruno slice of the pie that would be neat. Best to have fewer side characters to make it happen.
