I don't really know. I liked the two friends. I liked their history. I liked the powers. I didn't mind the art. I really liked the whole fake Devil's thing.

But as other anons have said, this Sasuke shit is annoying. I don't know why Japan thinks this kind of thing is good.
Shit like Tiger and Bunny, where the two are best bros and hunt bad guys together is top tier. But apparently Japs don't like that shit? God, it feels soulless to me.

I just don't see this manga having any real staying power to it. Like, Bolo saves Carlos after arc1 then what? New goal is to destroy the source of the death note so noone else gets hurts? Hopeful the villains make this worth the read.

Hoping this one gets some good doujins...I thought Carlos looked cuter though so it's a shame he's not even going to be in the series, I had no interest in this before but now I'm at least interested in a chapter two and three to see what the actual plot is going to be

The dialogue doesn't seem to convey what's going on very well but it seems to make sense to me once you realize what's happening. Carlos sold his soul to a demon to give Bolo all the happiness he wants and then Bolo is saying, I won't accept your offer and challenging Carlos that happiness doesn't mean anything unless they are together and then he awakens his demon power but Carlos is taken away by the demon he sold his soul to. Maybe I totally read it wrong too.

Bolo sounds like a name a white man from Spain would have and it fits with the setting. Carlos is the typical gang-banging, brown Mexican name.

It doesn't fit in this manga and belongs somewhere in a low budget, gangster Cholo film. The sad thing is that this manga seems to be taking a Sasuke and Naruto route, which means we'll be hearing the MC crying/yelling for his wetback friend very often.

The kid form of the characters looked really fucking weird but the rest of the art looks okay.

This grabbed me a bit more emotionally than Red Sprite ever did. Red Sprite has some fun stuff we haven't seen in a while though (the whole air-ship semi-dieselpunk motif) but Carlos and Bolo seem a bit more like characters than uhh the MC of Red Sprite.

Holy shit this first chapter was bad. This is the edgiest most cliché fujobait starting chapter I ever read.
