I still think that Naruto receives too much shit considering the other stuff that is considered acceptable. Sure the show had its ups and down, but which Shonen didnt? How is Bleach not infinitely worse? What is supposed to be even remotely special about One Piece apart from the world building? Fights and storytelling capabilities of Oda sure as hell are bottom of the barrel tier. And dont even get me started on shit like Dragonball. HxH is complete shit after the first 5th as well. Hell, is there even a single show that goes for more than lets say 40-50 chapters/25 episodes that isnt hated by a vast amount of people? And I am not just talking about Shonen here. No one can tell me that shit like Detective Conan is good.

Naruto would have made more sense if either Sauce or Nardo had been a girl.

That show has how many episodes by now? A thousand? There is NO WAY IN HELL that all of them, or even the biggest part, are all on the same level. My point was that anything that exceeds a certain amount of chapters/episodes inevitably goes to shit. At that point the series doesnt exist because of compelling storylines, but to milk the franchise.
