Done SCR, spotty translations aside I really loved it all and I sure as hell do not understand the Giorno hate. He was easily one of the coolest JoJos and I love how the initially personal drive he had in the story eventually extended to the rest of the gang as it progressed.

Rereading thriugh the YYM fight now I actually realize it's pretty good.

It's the horror trope of 'don't look away or blink or it'll get you' but it's done in an odd and funny way. I might need to reread SO.

Other than the janky narrative structure at the beginning and the really strange way of beating him, Yo-Yo Ma was an ok stand fight. Yo-Yo Ma was pretty creative with his methods for exposing Jolyne and Anasui to his spit and I think people hate him mostly for being ugly and weird.

It's more about truly finding something that will bring you forward in life.
Gyro was flip flopping and while the Italian kid was the trigger for his journey, his reason for making it is completely different and rooted in how he feels as a character.
Ringo used to be always sick and unable to do much physically, but after being forced to take a life in order to defend his own the adrenaline cleared his senses and he held onto the idea that killing must be what he has to do to fulfill himself as a man.

The True Man's World is Ringo's idea that an individual should find something that will allow him to grow as a human while being of help to the society around him.
Gyro doesn't have this, or didn't have this.

Rikiel is arguably one of the best minor villains ever. He starts off as a weakling who grows into a badass, but then very quickly realizes he can't maintain the facade for very long and like Jonathan, grows stronger in a seemingly helpless situation. And that's just the character, I could go on about the broader themes present in it, but even without all that it's a super intense battle.

I didn't dislike it, I am an Alien just was the arc that made me feel like I had no idea where it was going or what the point was.
Other than to have some silly mystery character and another gambling bit.
And early SBR just had a lot of random characters get splat and the art was too weird and post-Stone Ocean most of the time.
