Is it really? I only ever saw the cgi shit, and it was awful. I like the fact that they tried to go 3d, the art style in Berserk really needs something more than 2d to make that work, but for some fucking reason they got the most inexperienced staff possible to do and it ended up looking like total garbage.

The series is basically a realistic look at what would happen if a modern person suddenly got transported to a fantasy setting without any mary sue elemeents. The series focuses on how he learns to adapt to life without modern conveniences and dealing with the natural distrust of strangers that people have in a period where everyone in the village knows each other.

In the first episode, MC has to quickly get some local clothes because everyone thinks he is a spy from his unfamiliar clothing.

For extra comedic effect, have the MC run into someone from another world just like him, except he's like Subaru. MC tries to help him out but he draws massive attention to him by doing something autistic and gets arrested by the guards. The next morning, MC finds his head mounted on the town's wall.

There was like a novel (not the manga story about a girl with cancer getting the Blade, I think it was a prequel and that the blade caused the earthquake that preceded the events in the show.

Honestly I'd like to see a Darkness anime happening in the same setting as anime Witchblade.
