Then he evolved in a moment where he's looking at his sword. It is the spirit bomb, but it's a move he's known about, and using the evil sealing technique as a base it's not a leap to think that an intelligent fighter makes the leap without it being knocked over his head like Goku required.

I think the actual main issue is that if there were a Dragonball hunt it'd mean we'd already be one year past the U6 tournament, while they're trying to keep things in the 10 year period. I actually think there's a chance all the back and forth from the future was added by Toei. Unless the Mafuba gets used next week in the anime to seal cloud Zamasu, it might not even appear in the manga. They could just go to the future once and that'd be it. Beerus and Whis are already investigating Goku Black's identity and suspect it's a god. They can run into and kill Zamasu without needing Goku in the past at all.

Trunks is training with Vegeta with heavy gravity and they'll probably use that explanation and an anger boost for any power up he shows when they go to the future.

The manga is supposed to get ahead of the anime by the next arc, so I think we could see the Black saga ending in three chapters or so in the manga (if they all continue to be double sized).

Trunks is now the DBS equivalent of Naruto, Luffy and Natsu. Prove me wrong.

The tone, lack of effort and downright stupidity of Super as well as heavy toning down of violence implies it's for children (though having children as a target audience is never an excuse for bad writing), but at the same time it's based on a franchise that stopped airing decades ago.
