Mami is probably the only one who could have beat Walpurgis on her own. Let me remind you Homura fags that Mami is 3-0 against Homura.

1) In episode 3 Mami got tired of Homura mouthing off and wrapped her up in those ribbons. Mami could have finished her right there.
2) In Homu's flashback it was the same story. Mami caught Homura in a trap and Madoka was forced to save her.
3) In the Rebellion movie, Mami won again. Despite Homura's years of accumulated experience, she still couldn't beat Mami in a 1 on 1 duel. Sayaka ended up bailing Homura out. Sayaka even told Homura that is was foolish of her to think she could stand a chance against Mami on her own.

In the Concept movie they describe Mami as a goddess of war. It is pretty clear that she is the strongest meguca. Homu managed to clown Sayaka and Kyoko in combat, so it is implied that she's the second strongest character in the series. Madoka's strength in the series isn't fully understood. In the flashbacks she seemed pretty strong, but I think it's her bravery that makes her special.

Homura's the weakest magical girl outside of her broken ability. Mami is literally a hard counter to Homura's one ability. Outside of that, she dies against Walpurgisnacht and Charlotte.

In terms of the Concept Movie, they used the name Guan Yu, the Chinese "god of battle" figure from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Considering Butcher is a CaoCaofag, Mami is either going to lose her head again or be important in Madoka's reconciliation with Homura.

Her time travel abilities are overrated. Homura is only dangerous to people who she can take off guard. Once the girls figure out her power they are able to beat her. Just look at when Homu was confronted by Sayaka in Rebellion. As soon as Homu tried to manipulate time Sayaka shut that shit down real fast.

In order to balance Homura's time hax out, the writers had to give her inferior combat skills. When she couldn't stop time against Mami, she gave up and relied on trickery. Think back in the series. Whenever all of the girls transformed for the first time they were competent in battle. Sayaka was able to fight on par with Kyoko after only two days of transforming. Homura on the other hand took weeks of training before she was competent.

Homu is a beta female and nerd. She was flunking her PE classes and was struggling in Calc I. She was so depressed that she was considering killing herself before the main characters saved her. She had no friends and was destined to be a perma-lesbian virgin.

So even you and I could kill any of the main characters if we "got the drop" on them. That's the worse type of kryptonite ever. They have to keep their soul gems close or they lose control of their body, and any force applied to the soul gem causes them great pain. Even a tiny cat like Kyubey was able to bring Sayaka to her knees by lightly pressing down on her gem.
