It's pretty simple. Yusho doesn't want to lose Yuya but he also wants to stop Zarc. By stopping the duel Zarc can't be sealed meaning Yuya doesn't lose his body, and instead he has Yuya pinned with that card he used to keep him in place. He's now going to save Yuri and Yugo. He expects Reiji to take care of Reira and I guess he assumes Leo is just going to sit back since he's exhausted after the duel. In other words, this is now the Yusho show.

A long time ago, there existed an original dimension. People there created Real Solid Vision, basically physical holograms and it was just that, but a scientist tried using it in Duel Monsters, since it was the most popular sport in the whole world.

Thing is, it went more than perfect. Monsters had breathing, heat and even responded to external impulses, almost as if alive. People started using it ayway and a random nobody started beating everyone in the tournament. One day he accidentaly injured an opponent, but people reacted with applauses, so he started entertaining them with violent duels and kind of everyone was fine and wanted more and more, but this enraged his dragons which in turn had an impact with him, he became the champion, went crazy and started killing everyone.

So the scientist made cards with the power of nature to beat him, but his daughter stole them and used them to face the nobody that became the devil, she separated the dragons, but that separated him, cleaved her and the dimensions together with them.

The scientist, Leo, eventually recovered his memories and started a plan to revive his daughter and unite the dimensions again, but in doing so, he also helped the Devil to revive and this is the whole shit that started happening. The Devil is Yuya and his lookalikes. The girl is the Ruris.

The Yuyas were each born in a situation that would lead them to become great duelists (Yuya is the son of the chamion, Yuto studied in Heartland, Yugo was a common that would make his way to the tournament and Yuri in the academia).

The Ruris each were born in a way they would eventually be near the boys to avert them from going evil. (Yuzu is the daughet of the champion's best friend, Ruri is Yuto's best friend sister, Rin is from the same orphanage and Yugo and Serena studied in the Academia like Yuri).

Leo then started a whole War to get energy to revive his daughter and that led to the story as we know

Well one thing I'm amazed by is how unpredictable Arc-V still manages to be. Despite how its went to complete shit, it still manages to throw curveballs. In a way its admirable, but it's also incredibly frustrating because all the plot twists haven't resulted in anything meaningful but just a way to prolong the story and anger the fans.

Reiji made a big deal out of Reira being important for invading Fusion, but he hasn't done anything there. He only had a couple of duels in Synchro, against fodder, and his goal was to protect Selena, who got kidnapped anyway.

Next, the Dark Contract revealed in the Dimension box advertisement. Dark Contract with the Grotesque Entity. Most notably, this shows a torn page from a notebook with a drawing of Nyarlathoep. Interestingly, this exact artwork is of the Xyz card Outer Entity Nyarla. This is why the name of the card uses the same kanji as the Entity archetype. Something to notice however, is that you can see the sheet has multiple sections on it with a series of symbols and some of them are crossed out. If you remember the artwork of D/D Rebuild and D/D/D Human Resources, the grey haired King was playing a game of D&D. This sheet in the new card looks very similar to a typical D&D character or enemy sheet where levels like HP and SAN are tracked and reduced as needed. In fact, it bares a striking resemblance to the sheet the king is holding in D/D Rebuild. This combined with the fact that the notebook that this sheet is in doesn't have the same dummy text that the rest of the contracts, shows that this is from a complex D&D game that the king is playing. Perhaps the king is adding this character to his party?

Regarding the effect, as you no doubt have noticed, it is very similar to the Entity support field spell Dreamland. The key difference is that now all of the effects are helpful instead of potentially harmful, such as the destructive Xyz effect of Dreamland. Perhaps this is the reason that the king made a deal with the entity's? He wanted to support all extra deck summoning without the drawbacks. Given, however that you are entering into a covenant with an elderitch

I left Yugi vs Kaiba off because it's easy to argue it as the best. There was nothing compelling about the latest Arc-V episode. That's pure bias. if all you can mention is the animation director you aren't being honest with yourself. The GX and Zexal episodes advanced their plots, didn't cancel duels and started the end of character arcs while the GX arc set up the arc villain. They are objectively better than the Arc-V episode.

A lot of you guys were asking for an example draft of what the series was supposed to be like before Ono's intervention caused the series to completely tank. I still haven't performed any drafts yet, but I would like to explain about that "-shiro" character that was mentioned, essentially the character that was replaced by Jack Atlas and was intended to be the final "color rival" next to Reiji, Shun, and Sora.

The "-shiro" character was, as stated, friends with Shinji, Tony, and Damon. They had all been arrested for starting a duel gang, and taken to the Facility, where they all had to duel Chojiro who wanted their rare cards. They all ended up losing key cards, and "-shiro" gave up Tuning Magician, which has an extremely high rarity in the anime. Please remember that I stated "-shiro"'s deck was based on sacrificing Life Points, and Tuning Magician, with her effect, was a part of his deck. It was originally planned for Yuya to get Tuning Magician from Chojiro before the Friendship Cup began, rather than from Sam.

When Yuya uses Tuning against Shinji, it was supposed to be a callback to the Friendship Cup a year ago, where "-shiro" and Shinji were partners and, rather than lose with his friend, "-shiro" sacrificed Shinji's Life Points to win the duel for himself; here, Yuya uses one of "-shiro"'s oldest and most favorite cards that he lost to Chojiro to give Life Points to the friend he stabbed in the back.
