The style has just changed. Lines used to be much thinner and less defined back then. Colors would be less vibrant.

Honestly even back then I didn't enjoy the look of many anime.

They definitely show their age, but not nearly as much as the early 2000s.

Yeah Gundam 00 honestly looked fantastic, and ages really well. Mushishi is another good example because it had amazing art direction.

It depends on the anime
Hidan no Aria was 2011 but it looks like a 2007 anime.
