It's an N1K, not a Zero.

It's not impossible, the N1K and P-51 both saw service in the Pacific near the end of the war, and the two make for a pretty good matchup.

I can't find any records of one killing the other, though, so I'm not sure if they ever fought IRL. (The P-51 was mostly used as a B-29 escort AFAIK, so it would've been more likely to run into land-based interceptors like the J2M and Ki-61 than a naval fighter like the N1K.)
