Sure. I saw it in 2000 and I think it pushed me further into anime. While it technically is a harem anime, that aspect is generally between the protagonist and only two girls.

Despite everyones dislike for Tokyo, I wasn't too bothered by it and always include it into my marathon whenever I get that craving. Not terribly bad but I can see why people are averted to it. Pretty Sammy is just kinda there.

Ai! was just the weirdest fucking thing. Wasted potential more than anything, especially getting Negishi back on board. But it's hard to consider it a Tenchi show seeing as how they were background characters more than anything forcibly being shoved into it just to promote that region, kinda disheartening.

I only ever watched war on geminar but the narrative sucked so bad it's scared me away from watching anything else in the franchise.

Is the rest of tenchi comparable? This isn't meant to insult you if you like the series, just wondering how alike the entire franchise is to geminar.

GXP maintains a good "better than mediocre", thanks to Nabeshin, and has a few high points.

Isekai is fan-goddamn-tastic, and is the reason I have hope for OVA 4.

Universe is solid despite the characters being fucked with. Good fun.

It was unadvertised, had little to show it was related to Tenchi Muyo, and was PayPerView only, if I recall.

I haven't seen something more set up to fail since YuYu Hakusho on Cartoon Network.
