It had so much nuances in voice acting, you can hear the dread or excitement or a lot of things in the most subtle manner. It also offered a lot of emotions and chance for VAs to show their talents that Ping Pong didn't.

It has a lot to say about the legacy and lineage and uses Rakugo as a means to offer a great character study. Ping Pong says a lot about the nature of competition too but it's very basic in comparison to Rakugo.
