Seriously though. I'm liking how things are stacking up so far. Isayama says Ymir holds the key to the story, now it has been revealed that someone named Ymir Fritz was involved in the creation of shifters and Titans, and our only sources on what happened are two versions of the same fairy tale from two groups that despise each other.
Gonna be rather shocked if our Ymir doesn't know the truth about what happened and that she isn't at the very least directly related to the Ymir Fritz in the stories. Kind of thinking she could be Ymir Fritz.
Oh yeah, you all know how Reiner and Bert kept talking about getting back to their village? Well, turns out that village is very likely a ghetto where their families are forced to live.

It would be a very big coincidence then considering Ymir and Ilse, the person the Ymir-sama titan revered, look the same. Ymir's titan resembles the figure in both Frieda's book and the Mare people's book. Ymir's desire to help and care about people matches the Eldian description of Ymir Fritz. And that her brief description about what happened to her doesn't sound like she was just some Eldian who was made mindless at random.
Throw in that we still don't know her last name and I would be very surprised if she's not at the very least directly related to the Fritz line. Plus, why would any parent give their kid that name? That's pretty much putting a sign on a person telling the Mare government and people to treat them like shit.

They look alike to me, and many others, then there's Frieda's story book, which most think is the Eldian interpretation of this story, and the "demon" in that looks even more like Ymir's titan.
She makes it a big point to be who you are and really looks down on those who don't go by their real name or real self. Doesn't really seem right for her to use a name that isn't her real name. Then there's the Ilse titan praising someone who looks like our Ymir and calling them Ymir-sama. Not to mention, Isayama says that our Ymir holds the key to the story.
Like I said, it would be a huge coincidence.
I don't know why you're assuming that our Ymir has no connection at all to the Ymir in the stories.

It's implied at the end of the recent chapter that Grisha, and possibly the rest of his resistance, were sent to the island and turned into mindless titans. Where Grisha eventually found and ate a shifter and was then found by the then SC leader and taken inside the walls.
