Well it was based on the manga and not the anime. The manga and anime were completely different Especially the different personalities of the characters. I haven't seen Crystal and don't really plan to since Sailor Moon is too straight for me but I can see why someone familiar with the anime would hate it.

i have a feeling that the reason why odd-eyes dragon became pendulum dragon was due to a kind of purification, that perhaps somehow either Ray or Leo made it so an aspect of good would be introduced into Zarc.
pendulum summoning is known as a way to bring out all monsters in unison, a coming together of sorts. in real life a pendulum is known to be used as a sort of balast or counterweight to balance out momentum.
perhaps odd-eyes, and by extension yuya were as sort of overwrite to bring balance to zarc and have the 3 other more aggressive parts of zarc behave in unison, in a more controlled state.

I think the opposite. I think that Pendulum is the way that Zarc is using to unite his missing pieces, because pendulum is a gateway to other dimensions if you look at it from the perspective that it opens up so much range of actions. And Pendulum has allowed Yuya to master all summoning methods and meet the other Yuus, not to mention that Yuya, when in berserk, always summon a wicked pendulum monster hybrid, and until recently that was only done via the pendulum summoning itself. I think that pendulum was created for evil, But Yuya, and the way his was raised, are the purifying aspects of it, since, even if it was made for Zarc's will, Yuya is using it to grow and mildly entertain the people.

Arc-V had a great beginning, a terrible middle, but it just might have a satisfying if not slightly disappointing finale.

I'm glad Leo's motives are actually kind of believable. He wants to undo his mistakes and save his daughter who quite literally died for him.

He wants to use the four girls to bring back Ray, but it's an ambigious situation. Yuzu, Ruri, Selena, and Rin have their own lives, sure, but so did the people of the first dimension. And Ray deserves to live too.
