Are there really still people who get hyped up for a new Gatari anime? I liked the series, but it's been beaten brutally to death at this point. Every new release just succeeds in killing what enjoyment I had for the first few.

Owari was fantastic and Tsuki is the second best arc (I'm anime only for now so maybe this will change). Hana was like a side story to me since Suruga isn't my favorite girl but it was pretty deep so I definitely enjoyed it and there was some crucial info. It also posed some new plot holes which all told makes Hana top tier too. Not sure what show you're watching but even though I rank Nise as top and Bake as third the later episodes are still bangin.

Right. The fact that they're receiving so much negative critical acclaim is deserved since they released it in three parts and marketed it as a stand alone production. I'm not watching it until all 3 parts are released but I'm sure I'll love it since it's just the epilogue to a show I already love. I just wish the Kizu haters in here would admit this distinction.

I was basing it off of ticket sales and shit anon says. I don't care for ANN's review staff and don't care much about... reviews in general. All I'm saying is in my opinion marketing it as a film and also breaking it up were both going to degrade the reception (as I said, regardless of the content itself). Maybe I'm wrong but even if you say it's, "... pretty well-received" I personally think mono is top tier so I feel like if they played their hand better it could have had an even better reception.
