Casca needs to acquaint herself with Puck, Farnese and the others before seeing Guts again, so she can get an idea of what's happened to the world and the Hawks as well as becoming more emotionally stabilized. Seeing Guts in his state immediately after getting better is not going to do Casca any good unless she prepares for it, and it also gives the others a chance to see Casca for who she actually is.
