This is why I can't take people who complain about different kinds of threads all the time seriously.

It feels like one half contradicts the other half, but they never discuss or complain to each other, they just continue to complain to or about the people who enjoy the threads.

One half wants topics to stick to one thread no matter what (a lot of people call this a general) and the other half complains about all the threads and calls them generals no matter what they're discussing and refuse to give a consistent definition of the word that people agree with.
