Josuke didn't know Kira (or particularly care about him outside of wanting to stop him) but it still had more tension and more interest than Jotaro and DIO. Josuke bumping into Kira in the street after the meeting about Shigechi's death was really great and ominous, it was cool.

And I dunno about that, Jolyne and Pucci have some pretty great moments. Jolyne handcuffing him to her to give him a taste of what he'd done, him using her love for her father to distract her from finishing him off, her chasing him all the way to Cape Carnevale, etc. They never really get into detailed talks about the others mindset or anything, but it's a good hero/villain dynamic.

The issue is that Araki wanted to move more into character and drama stuff with fights becoming equally important to those two instead of the most important. The issue is he thought this would go over well with his fanbase who'd had like 13 years of primarily fight focused stuff. There isn't really much wrong with 6 is you don't approach it as a straight up fight manga like the stuff before it but Araki never gave us a reason to see Part 6 as anything but a fight manga until we get about halfway through and realise 'oh wait he was going for something different this whole time'. Overall, David Production made a good anime.Objectively, a lot of the animation, direction, and music isn't terribly great, but I want to replace it in the context of a minor studio doing this job. It sorta evens out. It could have been better, but it would have been asking too much for DP. I can't say I love the anime though, it's a goodie, it's here to expose more the manga, which everyone should read.

To be frank, if the anime's cancelled, I wouldn't care much. Seeing the derailing that is DiU, I don't really want DP to continue adapting JJBA. JoJolion is scheduled for French publication soon anyway.
