I liked the setting of Akiba's Trip 2, so an anime might be interesting.

Depends on whether it's a straight up adaptation of the game,or just using the same characters with a new story. They could also just be using the world and nothing else by showing characters from the 2nd game makes that unlikely.

Vidya RPGs got that name because, like tabletops, they're all about numbers. It certainly wasn't due to the roleplaying potential of a medium where the only way that you can influence the world around you are in ways scripted by the devs.

When numbers play such a big role that a primary goal is to acquire equipment with bigger numbers, with the better ones being able to one-shot anything and shrug off all damage, it's pretty hard to say that the RPG elements aren't taking a front and center role.
