The first two are completely serialized, as is most of part 4, which has SoL elements instead. The others move away from shounen, so saying they're MotD is somewhat meaningless. Part 3 is also usually considered one of the weakest ones for that exact reason

No one likes JoJo for its writing which is easily its weakest point. It's just a lot of fun and has wacky characters with great fights. It can be pretty funny too.

KC erases a segment of time. Whatever happens during that time period is erased and has no effect (example: bullets through Doppio's body), as if it never happened in the first place.
