...alright, how many episodes in are you ? The first 5 episodes of season 1 are relatively weak all around, and the second season is a lot better overall. The rest of the girls start to show more personality as the show goes on; they sort of grow on you.

OP here, I lied btw. This is actually my second time trying to watch it, but I'm still getting the same impression the first time I tried.

What's the fucking appeal? Is this just for autistic Yurifags who vicariously get a kick out of watching bland girls interact? Seriously, I don't inherently have a problem with an all female cast as long as they aren't shitty and boring.

There's little to no yuri in K-On!, first of all. Based on what you dislike it, chances are CGDCT just isn't the genre for you in the same way I can't get into battle shounens.

What other KyoAni works have you watched?

Appeal is that they kind of grow up, bounce off each other and change during those 2 seasons. They're, like, almost different characters in the beginning and at the end. That's why you heard that ending is "legit sad". Because you as a viewer spend so much time "growing up" together with them, by the end you know those girls so well they're almost your real friends. It sounds silly but that's the k-on experience, it's not just cute girls doing cute things.

Of those, I thought Haruhi + movie was great, Nichijou-Clanad S2 were good, Hyouka and Chuu S1 were "alright", but Tamako Market, Clannad s1, Chuu s2, KnK, Lucky Star, and Full Metal panic were complete shit
