This arc feels like a science side version of what's going on in Accel. The fact that Kuriba is trying to find someone that can help solve this makes me think that Hishigata is going to show up, assuming he survives his wounds. I hesitate to say Estelle because her sticking around in AC or coming back seems unlikely, especially since it would blur the lines between the two manga more than reusing a villain as an ally would.
