What is the absolute most difficult anime to get into in terms of over-the-top Japanese terminological usage?
Hyouge Mono was a bitch in that term.

Kaiji
Zetsubou Sensei or Akagi.
joshiraku
The monogatari series has a lot of japanese wordplay that might be hard to localize or translate.

Fucking Akagi man.

This, but the translators do a pretty good job of it anyway.

I agree with you on the subject of Zetsubou Sensei, because Kumeta is a master of "must be this Japanese to ride the ride"
But Akagi is pretty shallow in that regard once you learn the rules and basics of Riichi mahjong. Zetsubou Sensei throughs shit from pop culture to pre-meiji restoration literature to Chinese religion and philosophy within the same string of jokes most of the time. Shit is dense.

>Kumeta is a master of "must be this Japanese to ride the ride"
was he doing that intentional
or just he wanted to go deep as possible

Try Horizon. Judge!

that's difficult to get into because it's literally incomprehensible. japanese or no
