Thoughts on "Sweetness and Lightning" so far? It's not the most interesting plot but the story is heartwarming and its got its funny moments here and there. Not bad so far.
One of the best airing.

Surprisingly this, desu.

I definitely liked episode 7 where they took a break from the light heartedness and had a more serious kind of episode. Good change of pace imo. Don't think the show is completely changing in that direction though.
tsumgi needs medication, to be adopted by a real family and given a proper schooling environment appropriate to her special needs.

Is there any symbolism in this poster? What does the sub represent?
>>146299068
My dick probably
It's very cute!
LOTS coming through.
>>146297819
is the mc a beta male or at least a proper japanese adult since he had marital relations before his waifu died? spaghetti is mostly from female character i hope?
>>146297819
Kotori is a cocksheath.
Tsumugi is the only ultrafluffy moe kid in Japan. Maybe in the whole world.
Sensei actually sounds like a believable character.
It's overall average but not in a bad way.
>>146302205
MC is a pretty believable nipponese adult male who is too busy struggling to be a decent father to notice that one of his students probably has a crush on him (the crush aspect has been significantly downplayed in the anime to the point of being entirely subtextual). Female lead does have a tendency to blush and stammer a lot around Sensei.
>>146302931
thanks ill pick it up.
OP of the year, full version is outstanding
Show not living up to my expectations
Still cute though
Tsumugi's imagination scenes so far have stolen the show.
Cooking scenes are boring to watch until it cuts to Tsumugi goofing off or just wiggling around.
Kind of unfair to air this cooking show alongside Shokugeki, but they're both good so I'll take it.
This show makes me hungry.

>>146303146
food porn? picked the fuck up.
>>146303146
Learning cooking is a lot more realistic in this anime though which I like
>>146303146
The cooking scenes are far more engaging than I expected them to be.
>>146297819
Boring af. Usagi Drop is so much better.
>>146302341
explain what you mean by "cocksheath"
>>146303403
and makes me wish to actually learn many good recipes.
>>146303662
Not with that ending it's not.

>>146303727
good I like food animes.
I wish someone would sub all of "cooking papa"
>>146303977
I'd be content if they would just continue to translate the manga.
>>146304483
agreed. good look into history too with how old it is.
I don't appreciate how much of the manga they're skipping, but I have faith they might go back.
>>146297819
I'm a bit behind, but so far, it's pretty good. But god, that name sucks.
>>146304702
if its popular cant they do what non non biyori repeat did?
just have season 2 doing missed stuff ..
>>146304777
Yeah it is kinda weird, but it IS a Japanese title translated to english. Not surprised its a little wonky.
I normally like this kind of show but I've found Tsumugi to be more obnoxious than cute most the time. Whether it's "realistic" or not I haven't found her behavior very endearing.
>>146305498
Yeah I can see why you might think she's annoying. I definitely think its more of a realistic aspect of her character though. Kids can be really annoying and the fact that they didn't make her a perfect child, makes the show a little more believable I guess.
When does the daughter get raped?
>>146305888
In the episode with the green peppers.
>>146305498
dis nigga didn't like the shark song
Just saw the first episode because of this thread, and loved it. Happy that Hina's VA from Barakamon is in this, too.
Surely Sensei must sense her lust whenever he's near Kotori.
She's literally radiating pheromones.
>>146308741
Glad we sparked your interest in the show!
>>146308924
dat file name tho
>>146308181
>>146305498
GET HIM
>>146297819
Wish they'd do other things other than cooking, these scenes are getting stale fast.
>>146309688
Best girl. I want to give her headpats, hugs and dickings.
>>146311226
>cooking anime
>wish they'd do other things other than cooking
>>146311527
The cooking aspect isn't even done that well, it's the familial stuff that make the show stand out. It would really help if it wasn't stuck to the exact same routine every episode.
>>146312120
You might not like the cooking aspect, but it is the main point of the show, the episodes are even named by the "dish of the day".
>>146312277
>after the dish
Fixed.
>>146303146
The cooking scenes are probably the best part of the show outside of the realistic relationship between father and daughter.
It's nice learning a little about the small details that make the average japanese dish what it is. Definitely improved my own rice dishes.
>>146312512
>The cooking scenes are probably the best part of the show outside of the realistic relationship between father and daughter.
Those are literally the only two things in the show.
>>146312625
>the only things in the show are the good parts of it
Feels good, anon.
>>146312723
>one trick pony
>everything else is average/nonexistent
>a good thing
Tsugumi is one of the cutest snime kids I've seen in the last few seasons
I don't like how they're skipping chapters. But otherwise it's comfy enough and Saori is perfect as Kotori
I want to eat with that smile
>>146313202
It's not a long series, so I'll end before it gets old.
>>146313692
>it'll
Fixed.
