If this is true, I have a theory filling the gaps:

The game said nothing about an individual traitor, we only thought so because the rules were short and the action started immediately. They say that one person (an attacker) wakes up, and that "so basically, there's a traitor". If this is the case, it doesn't imply that just one person is a pure traitor. However the game still says that "the attacker will be given a time limit within which to kill exactly one person."

Since you have to kill one person, 3 people have done so in the 5 episodes. I assume that they are given some crucial threat when they wake up, so that they are convinced to do it. They might also be told they could kill themselves to end the game right there.

>After the second killer is waken up, he is still out cold. He figures out that this means the killer changes each time.

Where does this come from? I've read Zero 3 times and nowhere does it state that Junko looks like Matsuda's Mom. The backstory is literally that Junko comforted him when his mom died and said that she'd love him forever till he died in which replied she was a stalker.

Matsuda wasn't dependant on her, he wanted to help her become sane so she wouldn't have to deal with her own desire of self-destruction.

Hey I just had a crazy thought. Isn't what's happening in the Future arc kind of similar to the student council killing game from DR0? I mean the FF is just an extension of the worst parts of HPA, right down to putting people with talent up on pedestals (even if they're obviously poor candidates for the job). The student council president is involved and there's even a "SHSL Hope" in the game. And if you remember from DR0, it was suggested that Junko might have rigged the game to ensure that Izuru won, just like Monaca is doing with Naegi. In DR0 they were pretty vague about the game but it was described kind of like a free-for-all, which is basically what's going on in the Future arc. So is it possible that Monaca (or the real mastermind) is trying to recreate the tragedy of hope's peak, maybe for the same result?

But what is curious is that he wasn't a Despair (assuming he answered Munakata's question completely truthfully and not "from a certain point of view"). I think Munakata went berserk because Tengan told him FF are the bad guys here, and the attacker is a good guy.

The art isn't 100% correct to the novel as it's 5-8 supplemental images to give a generic image of how the characters looked like. Besides that isn't what we call long hair. That's normal hair length in Japan.

I think we'll get huge parts of DR:0 coming up soon enough along with the entire killing game and more Izuru development. The anime will most likely end with Ryouko turning into Junko and all the members of DR2 gathering around her as the final scene.

Huh I guess I need to reread DR0 because my memory of it is still fuzzy because I could have sworn Matsuda said something about them moving him somewhere else when Ryoko went to the old school building

But at the end the fact Junko told Mukuro she knew where Izuru is currently means she probably did have something to do with it.

IIRC the end had the student board get replaced by completely new faces since the old faces aka the guys protecting Izuru were all killed off by Mukuro per Junko's orders so she could get to Izuru.

So it's likely Izuru getting moved elsewhere really was because of Junko after all.
