Reira's deck is a bit too gimmicky. Using your opponents monsters for attribute based Fusions is fine, but using them in Synchro and Xyz would be annoying since it would be impossible if the opponent doesn't use monsters of the right level.

Serena's and Yuzu's bugs will probably have the hardest time to remove because their both already fusionists, can't appeal to them through another method like xyz and synchro. The DM anime doesn't do the manga true justice at all. It's not THAT bad of adaptation but if you really loved the manga you might get turned off by DM. For starters, it skips all of the first 7 volumes that you need for Duelist Kingdom to make any sense and then it botches up Millennium World by throwing in its own original content. There are also 3 filler arcs, 1 before BC and 2 after BC that do a 180 in terms of characterization.

You can go ahead and try watching it but I would instead watch the spinoffs for now and maybe hit DM later down the road especially since all of the story is still fresh in your mind and you will be treading down the same road again more or less.

But definitely make sure to watch Dark Side of Dimensions when it comes out because that is an actual sequel to the manga in an anime format.
