There's a minor change I think would help a lot.

I would start the episode with the flashback to the guys trying to beat up Mob and Ristu, with Mob losing control and injuring his brother. I feel like the brief flash to Ritsu lying bleeding on the ground is more effective without having it interrupt the fight with the context.

I binge read it and it definitely falls flat in comparison to the other arcs. Shit was too standard battle shounen and there was nothing particularly interesting about the Claw boss.

Probably the Webgen doing a lot of work. These guys are really dynamic and fluid but often times they say screw it to the character desgins, but thats why they are perfect for a show like Mob Psycho.

That's not how it works though, his emotions are bubbling up, the manga CLEARLY shows how they start to slip through way before 100%.

aside from the "didn't laugh" part that was admittedly a bit underwhelming, I thought the build-up in the anime was excellent. I mean, they even fix the timing of the "love milk" joke, and the whole scene of Mob spitting out the drink was exquisitely creepy.

The climax actually made me laugh my ass off in the manga because Mob's angry face was so ratchet-looking (plus the translation and the framing of certain scenes made it look like he was trash-talking the shit out of Dimple), while the anime left shaking uncontrollably from excitement. The fight itself wasn't particularly jaw-dropping, but the way they handled Mob's progress toward his first explosion made it incredibly impactful nonetheless.

So yeah, slightly different approach in the anime but equally good in my opinion (if not a little better because anime angry Mob is now my husbando of the season)
