I never understood why some people are so hesitant to read manga over watching the anime, even if the manga is so much better that it's not even funny. You're not reading some highly, dense, complex literary work with tons of dialogue here. The Berserk manga is one of the easiest to manga read for someone new to manga, the art is stellar, it actually got me into appreciating B&W over color in comics, and the action is pretty well done (for the most part).

I understand that but even then the manga still blows any adaptation of Berserk out of the water (yes even the 97 one), it's not one of those times where it's arguable to read the manga or watch the anime (Monster, Death Note, HxH 2011, FMA B or is a unique case like Ouran, Kare Kano, or Stand Alone Complex). The manga is literally better in all aspects, I guess the 97 adaptation had shockingly good music but other than that it's a decent bonus after reading the manga. Not even going to mention the movies (which are still ok but even worse than the 97) or the new one (which is only good for memes and is still a drag to watch).

Honestly kind of glad that mini arc wasn't butchered though, it's too much of a sacred cow. Shit was like 12/10 and the peak of berserk (along with the eclipse)

Well they're all bad of course, but some arcs are worse than others. I mean Wyald did get cut from both the anime and movies presumably cause of how explicit he was (you could say it's due to pacing though for the movies case) and we haven't seen the Millenium Falcon adapted yet so I'm not sure if they'll cut the troll rape and hellspawn bursting out the women's wombs. The Eclipse is a special occasion though I was surprised at how graphic the movie was.

To be quite perfectly honest with you my family members, the Berserk game that comes out soon looks fucking sweet and may just be the only good adaption we will ever get.
It has story cutscenes and all and even covers the black swordsman arc and the count (Is this why it's missing from the 2016 anime?)
