I'm just accepting the fact that the book is just guts life story and not everything it blood things taper off a bit, he cares less about revenge and more about those around him. He basically becomes a dad.. that's not to say there was some cool art and fights and you get used to the moe

If this was really the main appeal of Berserk and if it can't maintain its greatness without it then this was a weak story anyway.

I disagree though, I still love this manga now, I'm still invested in Gutts and Griffith. The art is still great, the pacing is great without hiatus, etc.

Far from it. There's still Berserker Guts, Skull Knight, and an entire island full of magic users, which Griffith fears more than anything else since they can fuck around in the Astral world. There's a reason Shierke's mistress was a target. There is also still the demon child that we know fuck-all about and that might play a key role in the end. And with Casca's problem soon (hopefully) resolved, Guts will have to face his desire for revenge once again.
Of course that's assuming Miura gets off his lazy ass.

Also, the mystical characters like Flora, Skull Knight or the God Hand have a different perspective of fate than regular people. For their perspective, everything is already written. Berserk ends with the Conviction arc. Then Miura wanted to make a high fantasy manga but for commercial reasons he chose to made it part of the Berserk brand

I've been reading all three for years now, but Berserk during it's highpoint still peeks any arc of either of those series, regardless of what it's turning into it'll still be regarded as a masterpiece of a manga respectively due to it's earlier chapters.
