In all seriousness Kamachi is probably sick of this series and only continues to write it partly out of obligation and partly to pay the bills. It's simply too bloated with characters and expansion that he doesn't know where to advance. Which is why these past few volumes are gyrating around Academy City and even more throwaway characters that nobody likes.

If he ever wants to finish, he has to break down a plot point and move from there. Pull in some of the OT characters here, dispose a peripheral NT character there, and put out answers to the central question. Because even when Touma's arm/dragons are finally explained, he's going to have to put that knowledge to use for achieving his objectives.

But in the meantime, he can't do it. He pretends that he's this amazing writer that can dish out scripts like nothing, but he's really only vomiting out words for Raildex while tinkering away at Heavy Object and the other projects.
