Man, they really are doing well the promo of this movie, they gave us just a glimpse at the beginning that made us theorize the shit out of the movie, then the clips that just presume of the high quality of this shit, and now they are going all out showing Kurono, the Oni Alien and the rest of the characters including all the forms of the Nurahyon.

Actually they would have to really change many things. as teh main drive for them to actually engage they 100 was to revive Kurono. Maybe this is why they have only show fight scenes and climax regarding the 100. I dont even remember glimps of the Osaka team other that the fucking Robot

Japan has known how to make CGI for ages.

Square Enix CGI has been top tier for a really long time, for example.

The studio working on this is Digital Frontier, which has kept itself at Hollywood level quality and is full of really talented people.

On the other hand, to take a recent example, a studio like GEMBA (working on the new Berserk) has no experience doing production before and most likely don't have any really good 3D people on staff.

It's not just the money (this is a movie instead of a TV series, so it has a bigger budget anyway) it's also the talent on board.

Gantz was a cgi-esque manga though.

I always had a soft spot for Gantz even though I acknowledge that the story is a clusterfuck because of the monster designs and fights. It was exciting just to see what crazy bullshit would happen next, like the alien made out of titties. The CGI looks gorgeous and Osaka arc is the pinnacle of the series so I'm hyped for this. Not sure how they're going to make this accessible to anyone who hasn't already read the manga though.

I hope we get some muscle rider action
