Berserk is the best manga for me, I consider it my personal bible.

As long as we're talking about manga, you will not be disappointed. It's a 10/10.
There's also TONS of it, and you can take longer to read it because of the consistent detail in the art (something HxH doesn't have)
Also, it still updates, unlike HxH.

it's the GOAT manga

I just got out after a month and spent a week of it doing nothing but reading berserk and watching the movies/show.

The 97 anime and movies that came out a few years ago aren't bad, so I don't know why people here are complaining to only read the manga. The 2016 anime is definitely lacking, but I can't wait for the videogame to come out. I loved dynasty warriors, and this is going to be golden age + post eclipse.


My only complaint is that once they introduced Schierke she meddles in everything.

Berserk is probably one of the best stories ever made, the wait is worth it.

Berserk is pretty ok with good ideas but it's not even close to as good as HxH.

AVOID THE 2016 ANIME AT ALL COST.

the old anime is god-tier , so is the manga.
some later chapters arent as well perceived , since the tone brightened up. the mangaka seems to be tired of making new chapters after working on it this long, but people keep pressing him like crazy about it , so the later ones are not as great.

in my opinion , it would be better if miura would make some more arcs that are either showing guts' past or something about what is going on in midland.
Hell , even Guts finaly giving up on pursuing revenge and creating a family with his child basicly becoming his successor would be better than the manga losing every bit of its unique athmosphere in order to force the story forward.

Ideally you should read the manga. The old show is good. The new show is the worst thing to ever happen in my lifetime.
