Why do millennial animeonlyfags have such a hateboner for part 3 and Jotaro and overrate hamon an part 2?
Part 2 is overrated as fuck but don't pretend that part 3 was all that great. 4 is where stands stopped being shitty for the most part. Also feel free to stay in your containment general.
people overrated part 3 because they started with the OVA
now they overrate 2 because they started with the anime
The actual rating is
7 > 4 > 6 > 2 > 3 > 5 > 1
what
animeonlies tend to suck part 3's dick and shit on hamon

Pretty sure Part 3 was the weed out part that made hamonbabbies cry

The thing is, they don't give part 3 the respect it deserves. It may not have aged that well, but at the time it came, it was a refreshing twist for shonen manga (no training arc, RPG style fight of the week, introduced the concept of stands) specially one that ripped off HnK so blatantly
The stands were simple, but that was for the sake of the reader understanding this new concept and the battle mechanics that came with it, so it's only natural that Araki was only allowed to develop more complex powers in further parts.
I have to admit when I first read the manga I was kind of sour on Part 3 also. I was never one of those Ripple anti-Stand fanboys but I hated how Part 3 turned Jojo from a continuous story to Monster-of-the-Week. Even now that I'm over that, I still kind of prefer Part 2 for that reason
I wonder why Giorno isn't well liked. The way he fucked up his enemies was crazy.
I like him but it's just kind of hard to care about him compared to the other Jojos. Part 3 we gotta kill DIO, Part 4 we have to stop the Arrow which created The World and could create an even worse stand, Part 6 we gotta save Jotaro and stop Dio's legacy.
Part 5 is... okay so we gotta root for this guy to become the least-corrupt criminal in a criminal world? It's just not as relatable, even though I do like his personality.

Part 2 is concisely written

>Contrived Asspulls, the series
>Well written
It's entertaining as hell, but it's not something you read for the plot

I didn't say the writing was good, just concise. The story is tight and doesn't drag. That's what people like about it
>part 4 comes out
>people start to realize the direction the series is going
>voice their opinion
>A-ANIME ONLY FAGS LEAVE
I've read all the arcs. Some anime only fans can be obnoxious but people like OP are the real cancer. Pic related

Because its only 16 episode as oppose to 48 but is its entirely one-note in execution and saved primarily by the charisma of its main character.

You're saying those things like they're insignificant.
Having far better pacing episode-wise and a much more entertaining main character is a huge factor. If you take that away there's little left to care about. Most of Part 3's fights are shit, for example Star Platinum's grand strategy to beat Kakyoin at the start is just to shrug off Emerald Splash and punch him back. Or the solution to the ship captain's stand was just asspull a finger-extending ability which one-hit kills him.
I'd rather take a billion contrived asspulls that are extremely entertaining than the boring shit Part 3 is. Animeonlyfags are entirely justified in preferring Part 2 to Part 3
