This reminds me of a novel I read years ago. It was a trilogy about vampires, and at some point an eternally regenerating vampire gets chained at the mouth of an active volcano, endlessly burning and regenerating. I'll be fucked if I can remember what it was called.

It's pretty clear that if you chop off a regenerators head the body will wither away and the head will grow a new body. I'm curious what would happen if you split the head right down the middle but it's doubtful anyone but the MC has regen powerful/fast enough to grow two parts, let alone survive that.

The MC learned to snuff the flames out on his face by speeding up the regen and it seems like he used his left eye as a focus point because his right side is still obscured by flames. If he were to have his head split now it's pretty likely the right would be burned to ash but the left would regen. If he weren't covered in flame then maybe he'd grow two selves, I don't know. Regen is ridiculously broken; it's mere existence and ubiquitousness makes any future antagonist who isn't a regenerator look fragile in comparison.

What happens if you cut off his head and toss it in a high speed blender? What if you feed that paste to some dogs?
