Original Timeline: = Trunks goes to past = Comes back and Manages to beat the android = Gets excited and wants to tell everyone = Cell kills him

Future Trunks timeline = Trunks goes to teh past = Comes back and beats the Androids decisively = Beats Cell decisively = Plays in the Bojack games (kidding)

Fake Universe 7 = SUPER

HOWEVER.
I have a better question. What the fuck is in that Universe that Cell timeline Trunks traveled to? He obviously wasn't strong enough to hold off Cell, so they most likely didn't fight Cell or anything of that power level. Could it be...there is a Universe 7 without a Cell Saga?

Also yes, there are two timelines without a Cell Saga. Future Trunks and Cell's Timelines. Only the timeline we mainly know that leads to Buu->Super has a Cell Saga/Games.

Future Trunks' original Timeline had no Cell Saga.

Cell Saga requires Goku Not Dead, and the Future Monster Cell to travel into your timeline, thus corrupting it.

Future Trunks' Timeline was Universe 7, pure. Sure, a person from that universe leaves to the past and comes back, but that doesn't corrupt that timeline. He isn't altering anything by having an outside of universe adventure.

tl;dr: Toriyama has no idea how time travel works, hence why Z/Super is the Main Timeline now.
