The CGI looks incredible, but why did they choose such a shitty arc? It would have been better if they would have just chosen an arc with Kei in it, like the dinosaur arc.

I agree but Osaka is widely appreciated.
Did Gantz ever actually get good? I kept up when it first came out til they slaughtered most of the original cast, including the Sadako look alike and Lara Croft lookalike, then killed of the girl the MC was crushing on, and he ended up screwing a shy girl. I gave it a break, and heard/saw they even killed the MC.
It just never really grabbed me. It seemed to rely on shock deaths, gore, and tits. I can get behind these things, hell I love Berserk and Game of Thrones, but it never seemed to be done in an interesting way. All I really recall are the famous character stand ins, the lé so random Orb that practically used text speak, and that the echii scenes were decent.

I'm re-reading atm out of boredom
Osaka arc isn't actually that bad, it felt really long when it was being released, but reading it in 1 go makes it kinda fly by
I can't really think of a better mission other than the Oni aliens

>Did Gantz ever actually get good?
for a while in the middle it was good, then it started sucking really hard in the 3rd act, and the ending is so rushed that it's obvious that Oku just wanted to be done with the series

It got really good, really entertaining to read. Then the ending killed it for me.
So this is just 1 movie? Gay.
Give us another TV series.

>Did Gantz ever actually get good?
The 1st part was good, it lost some of it's appeal in the 2nd part but started picking up again and the 3rd part just wasn't good at all, the ending was what really killed it. It's a really wild ride but still enjoyable, you should try reading the rest of it sometime anon.
