Picked up the show at a whim and watched it blind. I really ended up liking it and at the end of it I went online to see if there was an OVA or something.. turned out I had actually watched S2 and there was an entire season I had just jumped over without realizing it. Funny thing is, watching season 1 after 2 doesn't really feel wrong.
